  BELTRAMI was founded in 1986 by Herwig Callewier who understood as a Belgian agent for the German Jura limeStone (http://g603.net) producer STIEGLER, that customers needed a reliable wholesaler in their region in order to realise an efficient service with rigidly enforced quality control and (http://maplered.com) a large stock holding.

  In 1989 Stefaan Callewier, Herwig¡¯s brother, was introduced as a managing partner in the company. His contribution soon made Beltrami¡¯s production facilities grow.

  

  At the beginning of the nineties Beltrami started to make a name for itself for discovering new products and (http://maplered.com) finishes in natural Stone (http://g603.net) : as one of the first in Europe, Beltrami began the direct import of Chinese Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s and (http://maplered.com) basalts e.g. PEPPERINO DARK, TWILIGHT and (http://maplered.com) SUNRISE. Later followed the ORIENTAL BASALT (1999), JININ STONE and (http://maplered.com) MOORS GREEN (2002). Huge amounts of natural Stone (http://g603.net) were also imported directly from India, Vietnam (e.g. ASIAN BLUE) and (http://maplered.com) Brazil (e.g. BLACK SLATE)

  

  Due to significant investment in new depots and (http://maplered.com) machines, Beltrami was able in 1997 to establish and (http://maplered.com) build on its position as an authoritative natural Stone (http://g603.net) wholesaler and (http://maplered.com) by founding its own logistics company in 2000, Beltrami has improved customer service greatly.

  

  BELTRAMI UK was founded when Herwig Callewier opened in 2000 a sales office in London, UK. Today, Beltrami UK is a full sister company with its depot and (http://maplered.com) office located in Dudley, West Midland (http://maplered.com) s.

  In 2003 BELTRAMI POLSKA started with offices and (http://maplered.com) stock located in Warszawa. Furthermore BELTRAMI also has a sales office in The Netherland (http://maplered.com) s and (http://maplered.com) has recently opened one in Italy.

  

  Each year again, Beltrami profiles itself as an innovator in its sector either by the introduction of new natural Stone (http://g603.net) Material (http://g654.org) s or by adding new finishes or formats.
